Hey, Sudoku aficionados! Get ready for the upcoming Search for the 3rd Philippine Sudoku Challenge Champions!

It’s a done deal! Business Mirror and MTG, Philippines inked a Memorandum of Agreement for the 2nd time around to spearhead the conduct of the 3rd Philippine Sudoku Challenge which comes again in three categories: the Sudoku Grand Master (College and Professional Level), Sudoku Wizard (High School level) and Sudoku Whiz Kid (Elementary level).

BM and MTG agreed to have the Regional Final Stage on Friday, November 29, 2008 at a strategic contest venue in the region while the National Finals will be at a famous mall in Metro Manila in January 31, 2009. BIG CASH PRIZES and GIFT ITEMS await the TOP Winners.

As a requirement, all interested participants must submit the original cut-outs containing the correct answers of at least twenty (20) original issues of Sudoku Variations produced by MTG, Philippines and published in the Business Mirror starting September 1, 2008 as their entries to qualify them for the elimination round and submission of the Sudoku cut-outs will only be until the deadline on November 24, 2008.

It should be noted that the fruit of this mega partnership was the emergence of Ms. Sarah Jane Cua, a 2nd year High School student of Pangasinan Universal Institute, who  ended up champion of the Brand’s Sudoku Challenge 2008 Asia Pacific Open in Singapore in July, 2008, winning S$10,000 plus crystal trophy and a BRAND’s hamper with various products. Another produce of this dynamic partnership is the Mr. Matthew Chris Tan, 2nd year High School of St. Stephen’s High School who settled in the 4th Place, making him the youngest among the five winners in Brand’s Sudoku Thailand International Open in March 23-23, 2008.
