6 FILIPINO KIDS PERFECT AMC 8

Jan 16, 2009

Once again just as in several instances, the Filipino mathletes have proven that this statement "you can do anything you wish to do, have anything you wish to have, and be anything you wish to be" as never far from anyone's grasp. The Filipino kids, this time, have  garnered 6 gold, 12, silver and 21 bronze medals, bagging along 56 certificates of distinction, 81 certificates of honors and 65 certificates of merits.

In the 24th Annual Contest of the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) 8 given last November 19, 2008, a total of six math-gifted Pinoy kids have proven that achievement seems to be connected with action when the results of the competition finally revealed that they had not only top the AMC 8 but even perfected it. The following top scorers and gold medalists who certainly did better than their best are:

These MTG kids have only shown that "the roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that they can become", Dr. Chua, MTG President said. Indeed, their victories in the AMC 8 are great things not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together. Congratulations to you all!!!
