The Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing of the University of Waterloo which is in charge of the Canadian Mathematics Competition revealed the winners of the Euclid Mathematics Contest in the Philippines held last April 12, 2010.
Neil Jordan L. Chua Goy, a student of Grace Christian College, will be awarded with a medal for meeting a minimum standard score and for topping the winners in the Philippines. The six other winners who have been qualified to receive certificates of distinction are Janssen Lawrence Chan and Vance Eldric Go of St. Jude Catholic School, Erik Lance Astillero of Chiang Kai Shek College, Meliton Chiong of Zamboanga Chong Hua High School, Stephen Laohoo of Grace Christian College and Michelin Ang of Philippine Institute of Quezon City.
The Euclid Math Contest is an opportunity for students to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving ability. This contest which is being participated in by many math wizards is conducted simultaneously worldwide.
