NCR SCHOOLS GEAR UP FOR THE MATH TRAIL FINALS

Twenty-two teams, each with 4 members, have been proclaimed as qualifiers for scoring the highest in the elimination round in the MTG-SHARP-DepEdNCR Math Trail and Problem Solving Competition held on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
The math trail contest, an exploratory activity which centers on relating math to the real world, was held simultaneously in two venues, Makati Science High School and Grace Christian College. A total of 21 teams showed up at Makati Science High School and 22 teams at Grace Christian College.
All teams working closely together during the entire contest, visiting one station at a time, measuring lines, objects and shapes and gathering data and details went to solve six problems arranged in ascending difficulty.
The scores of all teams were added and ranked, eventually ending the thrill and suspense when judges declared cut-off scores, trimming down the participants to only 22 teams to move forward to the final round scheduled at 1PM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Sen. Rene Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School in Taguig City.
