More than a hundred whiz kids from all over the Philippines have qualified to the second round of the 2016 International Mathematics and Assessments for Schools (IMAS) which will be held in selected schools and MTG training centers on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 9:00 am. Registration starts at 8:00 am.
The second round of IMAS conducted for students in the top 5% to 10% of all participants of each country is composed of 15 questions of which some are in multiple choice while the other problems require the participants to give either short or detailed answers.
The qualifiers for the second round of IMAS are those who made it in the top 5% to 10 % of all the participants in every division of each country. Most of them are recipients of high distinction certificates and only a few recipients of distinction certificates but all have the chance to win gold, silver and bronze medals if their performance in the second round so guarantees.
The official participants must remember their student code which they will write down on the answer sheet on the sitting date.
