The Philippines will host the 2017 International Teenagers Mathematics Olympiad (ITMO) at Grand Regal Hotel and Waterfront Insular Hotel in Lanang, Davao City on November 8 – 12, 2017.
The MTG Philippines will organize this international math contest in coordination with the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) under the supervision of the International Mathematics Competition (IMC) Executive Board.
About 600 participants and delegates from Australia, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Brunei Darussalam, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Mexico, Nepal, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zimbabwe are expected to participate in this competition.
As part of the prelude to the MTG’s Silver (25th) Anniversary, the 2017 ITMO is inviting once again Grades 5 and 6 students just as it did in the 1st AITMO way back in 2003 which was held in Fuzhou, China.
As regards, the MTG Philippines has lined up prospective participants to represent the country to this math contest. The trainees whose names appear below must send their confirmation of participation (indicating among others the name, birthday and current school year) not later than Friday, August 25, 2017 at this email address, firstname.lastname@example.org with the following subject header “Yes to ITMO 2017 International”.
The registration will be on a “first come, first served” basis, until all slots allotted are full.
