The Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG), Philippines has scheduled a day giving recognition to the awardees and honorees that showcased their extraordinary excellence in Mathematics, Science and English in the 2018 Australian Mathematics Competitions (AMC) and 2018 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS).
For the first time the awardees of both contests shall come together in the awarding ceremonies which will be held on Saturday, 9:00AM, at Philippine Cultural College – Manila Auditorium located at 1253 Abad Santos Ave, Tondo, Manila, on November 10, 2018.
This year, the 2018AMC yielded a whopping record of ten perfect scorers from the Philippines, definitely unprecedented since the year 2000.
In addition, the Philippines soared the height of extraordinary excellence for garnering 15 UNSW medals and 91 high distinction certificates in the 2018 ICAS – Science; 12 UNSW medals and 22 high distinction certificates in the 2018 ICAS – English; and 17 UNSW medals and 165 high distinction certificates in the 2018 ICAS – Mathematics.
The awarding ceremonies will be for the recipients of the Peter O’Halloran Certificate of Excellence, Prize award and high distinction certificates in the 2018 AMC; and for the 51 awardees of the UNSW medals and 278 recipients of the high distinction certificates in the 2018 ICAS Science, Mathematics and English.
