The MTG Philippines will conduct the 2019 MTG Family Math Quest at MTG training centers and selected schools nationwide on November 16, 2019. For NCR, venue is at Philippine Chen Kuang High School, P. Parada St, Barangay Santa Lucia, San Juan, Metro Manila
The MTG Family Math Quest a parent-child tandem math competition is the first of its kind in the Philippines where a parent (a mother or father) and a child (Grade 1 or 2) pair up forming a tandem to solve mathematical problems, as a pair.
It has been found out that parents' attitudes toward mathematics have an impact on children's attitudes. Children whose parents show an interest in and enthusiasm for mathematics around the home will be more likely to develop that enthusiasm themselves, thus the concept of the contest.
The MTG Family Math Quest is aimed at providing opportunities for parents and children to work together to achieve mathematical excellence; developing the family’s level math skills and knowledge; and promoting the parent-child tandem a challenging, engaging mathematical experience that is both competitive and educational.
The MTG Family Math Quest is for pupils enrolled in grades 1 and 2. This is a written contest whose members consist of a parent (mother or father) and a child. It is FREE of Registration Charge.
Interested schools can send at most two teams for every grade level. Each pupil participant must be paired up with a father or mother, both forming a tandem to answer independently or as a team the different sets of math problems.
The submission of registration form at this email address, email@example.com shall be accepted on or before this deadline, November 11, 2019.
