Vincent Dela Cruz , a math whiz kid from Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science made an impressive top-scoring feat after nabbing a perfect score in the 2019 Canadian Senior Mathematics Competition.

De la Cruz, being the sole math ace from the Philippines to score 60 out of 60, will be awarded a Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) Medal and certificate of distinction.

In addition, two students earned a near perfect score in the Canadian Intermediate Mathematics Contest. A score this high were obtained by Vanessa Julio from St. Jude Catholic School and Gwyneth Margaux Tangog from Southville International School and Colleges. They, too, will receive a CEMC medal and a certificate of distinction.

The country’s top scorers in both contests run by the CEMC will be awarded at 2PM on Sunday, February 9, 2020 during the Family Math Quest National Finals to be conducted at 4th Floor SM North EDSA Annex, Quezon City..
