This year’s first big win in the online international math contest is a breath of fresh air for the Philippines at this time of the pandemic as Filipino math wizards bagged 7 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze certificates in the 2020 China Northern Mathematical Olympiad and  2020 China Northern Mathematical Competition.

The MTG Philippines will give cash prizes to the winners of gold, silver and bronze certificates. A cold cash of Php5000 each will be given to the gold winners, Php2500 and Php1250 to the recipients of silver and bronze certificates, respectively. They can claim the cash prizes from Mr. Manuel Kotah, MTG officer.

Our mathletes have showed the stuff they are prepared for in the high-level, large-scale, and IMO-type math contest for senior high school students, the 2020 China Northern Mathematical Competition.
