LIST OF HIGH SCHOOL QUALIFIERS FOR THE MATHEMATICS OLYMPIAD SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM 2005

The MTG Young Mathematicians’ In-house Intensive Training Program has outstandingly and successfully surpassed numerous challenges and surprises, thus, paving way for victors in various mathematical fields. We salute to all the winners and qualifiers. All the top scorers will advance to Mathematical Olympiad Summer Training Program 2005 (MOSTP 2005), the last stage of the MTG Training Program.

This summer enhancement program is compulsory to all MTG trainees who successfully passed the In-House Intensive Training Program and will eventually represent the Philippines in different international math competitions.

Within the weeks’schedule, the contest screening committee will conduct about 10 to 12 sets of test to enable the said committee identify the performance of each participant and use his/her overall performance as a reference for the selection of team members who will be sent to international competitions. There will be 3 training venues to be conducted for this year Mathematics Summer Olympiad 2005. For high school level participants, they will be assigned in 3 different training venues since each training venue will specialize to the kind of contest they will compete abroad. Below are the lists of MTG TOP SCORERS in the high school level with their respective training assignments.

For the High School Participants
A. Zamboanga City Training Center

The following students are invited to attend the MOSTP 2005 at Zamboanga Chong Hua High School Zamboanga City who will either compete in Invitational World Youth Inter-Cities Math Competition, World Puzzle Championship, American Regional Mathematics League, South East Asia Math Olympiad and the Asia Inter-Cities Teenagers Mathematics Olympiad. The training will start on April 12 to May 14, 2005 from Monday to Saturday at 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M with the collaborative effort of the Chinese Mathematical Society of China. This is a LIVE-OUT “Free of Charge” training program. B. Chiang Kai Shek College Training Center

The following students are invited to attend the MOSTP 2005 at Chaing Kai Shek College, located at 1274 Padre Algue St., Tondo, Manila and look for Mrs. Sanet Hipolito, the person in-charge of the training program. Please contact her at mobile no. 09167544108 for more information regarding the training especially for those participants from the province who need assistance for reservation of dormitory or cheaper pension house. Participants have to take care of their own board and lodging. The training starts on April 11 to May 14, 2005 from 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M and this is again a live out “ FREE TRAINING” program.
