Yes, you can be the next Einstein! Your scientific talents can be sharpened more when joining the Rio Tinto Big Science Competition. This “scientific sibling” of the Australian Mathematics Competition for the Westpac Awards is the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG), Philippines new alliance high schoolers can participate in. The Rio Tinto Big Science Competition is a proud supporter of Australian Science Olympiads that prepares Australia’s team to the International Science Olympiads in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for over 19 years. It will be administered by the Australian Mathematics Trust on Thursday 23 June 2007 and will have the same entry fee of US$10.00.
Its principal aim is not to be a testing service, even though the comprehensive reports will be issued which supply meaningful statistics. Rather the event is intended to genuinely enrich scientific study at school. Joining this contest enable students to identify their early scientific talents which is crucial to their future success.
