The Mathematics Trainers’ Guild (MTG), Philippines has completed the line up of participants to join in the forthcoming Hua Bei Sai Contest in Huizchou, Huabeisai, China on July 16-20, 2007. The contestants from the elementary and high school levels who will represent the Philippines have been made known so that early preparation of requirement and other pertinent travel document can be made.

Furthermore, MTG is confident about the mathematical prowess of these math whiz kids to bring home the bacon from the aforementioned competition. There will be 12 slots in the elementary level. By the way, the MTG would like to acknowledge the great contribution of the outstanding Chinese Mathematician, Hua Luogeng. He was the founder and pioneer of many fields in new China's mathematics research. He wrote more than 200 theses and monographs, many of which have become classic documents of immortal value. Besides pure mathematics, Hua also did a lot of work in the fields of mathematics applications. He made the mathematics serve the national economy and became the first Chinese scientist who closely combined the mathematics theoretic studies and practical production, and obtained enormous economic results in many fields. The organizers of the Hua Bei Sai Contest truly dedicate this endeavor to Hua Luogeng for all his works and superbly great contributions in the field of mathematics.

Participants who intend to participate in the contest are required to download the registration form below. Fill up the form and fax it (062) 992-3045 or you may email it at rjd182001@yahoo.com on or before June 5, 2007. After receiving your registration form, we will send to you the other detailed information like the travel expenses, bank to deposit the money and DSWD letter. Failure to submit the form before the deadline will be considered backing out and the slot will be given to the alternates and seat-in MTG Trainees
