After holding the IWYMIC in Asia for 9 straight years, it will be in Durban, South Africa this time! More or less, it is barely less than two months away from the most awaited 10^th Invitational World Youth Mathematics Intercity Competition which will be held in another continent, in Africa on July 5-10, 2009. Thus, all Asian participants, not to forget the Philippines of course, will cross the thousand mile skyways to the host city, Durban.

As the countdown draws nearer, the MTG, Philippines has disclosed names of possible participants who have the chance to represent the Philippines in the 10^th IWYMIC-Durban, South Africa. Since this math contest is only for high school students, then the Philippines through the MTG will be sending 4 teams of 4 student participants each to compete with their counterparts in mathematics. Thus, the names that appear herein are advised to meet the requirements in the soonest possible time, since processing of travel documents takes about a month long.

 
Instructions for IWYMIC 2009- South Africa Application of Eligibility

1. To be eligible for IWYMIC 2009- South Africa, participants must be one of the top scorers  in the Final   Selection Examination
2. Fill out the attached form, and return it tosimon_l_chua@yahoo.com on or before May 8, 2009 Please label the subject header as "IWYMIC'09- your Name"
3. In order for us to process all applications on time, all completed forms and supplementary documents must be received by: May 20, 2009.
4. For the alternate participants, the Screening Committee will review all applications and eligibility given   on a rolling basis. All decisions made by the Screening Committee are final. Applicants will be notified of their eligibility via email or announcement at the MTG website.
5. As soon as the confirmation of their participation is posted in the website, they are advised to accomplish the following:

- See/Call Susan or Lea of Asia Pacific Travel for details of the travel expenses at tel. no. (02)  546 1759 or 536 0473

- Those who made their confirmation are required to make a down payment for the payment of plane seat reservation and processing of VISA. The amount deposited is part of the total travel expenses as specified by the Asia Pacific Travel.

Since each team is composed of four (4) participants each, then the any of the following twelve names will represent the three (3) teams in the 10^th IWYMIC- Durban, South Africa:
