It's final!!! A total of 152 Sudoku puzzlers from across the Philippine archipelago will come face to face for the final battle of the 5th Philippine Sudoku Super Challenge on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at SM City North EDSA, the Annex, in Quezon City. They will be competing for the following categories: Sudoku Whiz Kid (Elementary level), Sudoku Wizard (High School Level) and Sudoku Grand Master (Collegiate and Professional Level).

From these 152 Sudoku national finalists, top three winners in every category are likely to emerge and to bring home some gift items and cash prizes which they will use as expenses for the plane fares when they will represent our country for any of the following competitions:

1. BRAND’S® Sudoku Challenge 2011 Asia Pacific Open in Singapore
2. 2011 World Sudoku Championship in Europe
3. 5^th BRAND'S SUDOKU Thailand International Open 2011 Princess Somsawali Cup in Thailand

The MTG Philippines has promised that this year's Sudoku national finalists will solve more challenging puzzles which come in ascending difficulty. To know more about the types of sample puzzles which are likely to come out in the contest, they can see the puzzles featured in People's Journal, People's Tonight and Zamboanga Today.

Please be reminded of the following guidelines for your convenience and advantage:

1. Bring your school/office ID for easy identification.
2. Be at the contest venue an hour before the registration which starts at 10 AM.
3. Provincial participants are reminded that check-in time is at 2pm of January 28, 2011 and check-out time will be at 12 noon of January 30, 2011.

Note: Only those selected national finalists from provinces who have nowhere to stay and have to (a) travel by plane/ship and (b) travel by land of which the travel time takes 5 hours or more can avail of the free hostel accommodation courtesy of Phoenix Publishing House, Inc. and must make their confirmation on or before lunch time of Monday, January 10, 2011 or else slots will be given to other interested persons. Non-participants are not included in this package. 

However, accompanying persons who want to stay with their children may contact Mr. Robert J. Degolacion, MTG Office Director at his email address, rjd182001@yahoo.com, for reservation.

All official Sudoku participants have been sent emailed to request each of them to give their t-shirts size to this email address,mtg.sudoku@gmail.com but only few have responded. Thus, only those participants who gave their t-shirts size will get the preferred size while those who did not reply will get whatever t-shirts size available.
