Sean Anderson Ty, Grade 10 from Zamboanga Chong Hua High School, is the lone medal recipient from the Philippines in the Euclid Mathematics Contest conduct in April 2017.
Ty was declared the top student in the Euclid Contest for meeting the minimum standard to receive the medal conferred by the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) of the University of Waterloo in Canada.
Furthermore, fourteen students from the Philippines will be awarded with certificates of distinction for their outstanding performance, they are:

The Euclid Mathematics Contest is an opportunity for students to have fun and to develop their mathematical problem solving ability. The participants solve 10 questions for 2.5 hours.
The CEMC develops and administers many internationally recognized contests to help to inspire the next generation of students to develop an interest in and love for mathematics and computer science.
