CARDINAL AND LEUNG CHAMP THE 4TH FAMILY MATH QUEST

Feb 11, 2020

Cardinal and Leung champ the 4th Family Math Quest

Six child-parent teams took the 4th MTG-DepEd-SM-SHARP Family Math Quest national finals by storm and grabbed the top major titles after scoring the highest in  each of the three rounds on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the 4th Floor SM North EDSA Annex, Quezon City.

The Family Math Quest drawing a total of 41 teams, 20 from Grade 1 and 21from Grade 2 categories, gave the supporters and spectators a curious thrill as the participants were stumped to solve easy and tricky math problems.

This year’s champion in the Grade 1 category was the dad-son tandem from the Integrated Montessori School. They were dad Joel Edward Cardinal and his grade 1 son, Joaquin Cardinal who got a huge score enough to make them lead comfortably.

The first runner-up went to the father-daughter team from Zamboanga Chong Hua High school, dad Alvin Hung and daughter Layna Bree Hung. The second runner-up went to mom Melinda Ann Chan and son Enrig Race Chan from Bayanihan Institute.

It was one amazing afternoon for the line-up from St. Stephen’s High school when dad Steven Leung and son Sten Lowell Leung took victory in the race ahead of the other teams, scooping all major prizes for the champion in the grade 2 category.

Putting the brakes on and grabbed the first runner-up title were dad Patrick Alan Takai and son Pierce Takai grade 2 from MGC New Life Academy. Walking up the stage as the team winning second runner-up were another dad and son team, they were dad Great Dilla and son Gavin David Gilla from Dasmariñas II Central School.

Congratulations!!
