The Educational Assessment Australia (EAA) of the University of New South Wales released the results of the 2005 Australasian Schools Science Competition (ASSC) for the Philippines.
The competition was conducted simultaneously in different MTG Training Centers across the country. The result shows that several students across the country demonstrated high-level skills in their participation in the recent ASSC 2005. Students whose achievement was outstanding were rewarded with certificates of Credit, Distinction and High Distinction.
The ASSC developed by Educational Assessment Australia (EAA) of the University of New South Wales, is being conducted annually across Australia and in 12 other countries. There were over 1.5 million events worldwide.
In the Philippines, the results shows that fourteen (14) students made it to the High Distinction Certificates, that is, the top 1% of entrants in each grade/year level , ninety four (94) students earned the Distinction Certificates, that is the next 10% of entrants in each grade/year level, one hundred seventeen (117) students in the Credit Certificates, that is the next 20% of entrants in each grade/year level and two hundred forty two (242) received the Participation Certificates.
The certificates will be released to the Filipino Achievers once the package will be sent to MTG by the EAA of the UNSW.
